Veiled Chameleon

Size: Adults usually range from 18-24 inches

Lifespan: Adult females usually range from 5-6 years and males range from 7-8 years

Enclosure: 24”x24”x24” (LxWxH) screen cages are suitable for juveniles, once full grown, a 24” x 24” x 48” (LxWxH) is preferred for adults with a substrate of cage carpet, newspaper, or paper towels

Temperature: A gradient of 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit on the cool side and 85-90 degrees Fahrenheit on the basking side and full-spectrum UV lighting per day is recommended

Humidity: The enclosure should be kept between 50%-60%

Diet: Juveniles should be fed 10-12 calcium-dusted small-medium crickets every other day, and adults should be fed 5-7 calcium-dusted medium-large crickets every other day

Water: Some may drink standing water from a shallow dish, but all will drink water on the leaves and walls of the enclosure from both misters and drippers
