Size: Adult females usually range from 4-5 feet and males range from 6-7 feet

Lifespan: Adults usually range from 15-20 years

Enclosure: 20 gallon long aquariums are suitable for juveniles, once full grown, a 12’x6’x6’ (LxWxH) cage will need to be constructed, with a substrate of aspen, cypress, and coconut shavings or mulch

Temperature: A gradient of 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit on the cool side and 110-120 degrees Fahrenheit on the basking side and full-spectrum UVA and UVB lighting per day is recommended

Humidity: The enclosure should be kept between 60%-70%

Diet: Both juveniles and adults should receive several calcium-dusted assorted vegetables and fruits such as spring mix, carrots, apples, collard greens, bananas, cucumbers, dandelions, etc. every other day
