Size: Adults usually range from 3-4 feet

Life Span: This species can live for 5-7 years

Enclosure: 20 gallon long aquariums are suitable for juveniles, however, when fully grown, adults require at least a 40 gallon breeder

Temperature: A gradient of 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit on the cool side and 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit on the basking side

Humidity: The enclosure should be kept between 30%-40%

Diet: Appropriately sized feeder fish or minnows should be fed every 5-7 days, in addition, a small mouse should be fed at least every other week
